MEET THE TEAM

Fiona, Founding Director

Based in Stoke-on-Trent, Fiona is the Founding Director of Catch The Dream CIC.

 

Fiona has strong ties to Sierra Leone, having visited annually since 2007 through her work on immersion programmes in higher education. After the Ebola Crisis of 2014-2016, Fiona set up Catch The Dream CIC in 2017 to support rural communities in West Africa become sustainable and less dependent on state aid, with her first project in Lungi Village, Bo District.

When she's not busy with her HR day job, Fiona is tirelessly working on supporting Lungi Village and hopes to expand the operations of Catch The Dream in the near future.

Andrew, Director

Joining us as a Director in 2018, London-based Andrew has a background in Philanthropy and helps Catch The Dream with our sponsorships in London and The South.

Andrew's first visit to Sierra Leone was with Fiona and Emily back in 2008 where he met our Project Co-ordinator Joseph, returning with Fiona in 2018 to visit Lungi.

Emily, Director

Joining the Catch The Dream family in 2019, Director Emily is our finance and sponsorship guru. With a background in HR and Finance, Emily is fantastic at organising, chatting financials and being an all round team player!

Emily first visited Sierra Leone with Fiona on a school immersion programme back in 2008, where she met our now Project Co-Ordinator Joseph.

Joseph, Project Co-ordinator

Joseph, our Sierra Leone based Project Co-ordinator, is an invaluable part of our team and works with the farming community of Lungi, supporting the mission of Catch The Dream.

 

Raised in Blama, Sierra Leone, Joseph went on to graduate with a BSc.Hons Sociology degree from Njala University and has known Fiona since her first trip to Sierra Leone in 2007, meeting both Emily and Andrew on their 2008/9 trips.

 

Joseph puts his skills to excellent use orgaising and project managing all developments for Lungi, facilitating all training and workshops for the community and keeping his UK counterparts up to speed.

Constanze, Bookkeeper

Born in Germany, raised in Italy, settled in the UK, Constanze joined us in 2022 as our resident bookkeeper.


When she's not busy keeping our books in order, she is devoted to her other passion, crochet, she's always busy creating everything from toys to blankets to raise money for our projects.

 

A keen decorator of everything sugary, she loves to create beautiful cookies and cake toppers.

Constanze has yet to visit Sierra Leone and is excited to travel there in the future.

Jei, Digital Volunteer

Jei is a data manager from Stoke-on-Trent with training in data visualisation and analysis.

Jei's experience with Sierra Leone began in 2014 when he visited as part of a volunteer program with Fiona. During this immersive experience, he witnessed first-hand the challenges faced by the local communities and the resilience of the people.

Jei joined Catch the Dream in 2023, to support the organisation he has volunteered his skills to work on the website which plays a pivotal role in raising awareness and connecting with individuals who share our vision.

Oscar, Social Media Marketer

With a background in the construction industry and a newly found interest in marketing and social media, Oscar is our Social Media Marketing volunteer. Oscar joined Catch The Dream in 2023 to fulfil his passion for working for an organisation that truly gives back to communities such as Lungi.

Outside of his day job, Oscar enjoys the occasional surf and football.
